I was born in Mexico City on a Friday of the 20th century, I started my professional career ±10 years ago without knowing where design and life would take me.

My journey is indeed a journey. It started in 2009 as a photographer at Playboy back home in Mexico, taking photos for castings, to playmates, plastic artists, and some socials, to be my first job it was an amazing experience full of learnings.

Later in 2011, I joined the digital team at J. Walter Thompson MX, where I worked in the project winner of the first Titanium & Integrated Cannes Lion in the history of advertising in Mexico, with a digital campaign for Nike. After that memorable achievement, I had the opportunity to join Doubleyou MX and be part of the team that started the company operations in Mexico, although my stay there was short, I loved the team energy and enjoyed the challenges that come with helping to open a new agency.

In 2013, I joined Isobar MX, in where we created award-winning projects for Domino’s and Jose Cuervo, during that period, I fell in love with how creativity and technology work together so we create campaigns and experiences combining those elements for clients like Google, Nike, and Pringles. I was also deeply involved in the agency growth and I contributed with an incredible team to winning new businesses including Sony, Aeromexico, and Walmart, with no doubt a stage in which I grew up and learned a lot.

After a downtime to focus on side projects, I started working at LOOP AS with the challenge to leave my comfort zone and couldn't be better, due to my background I worked in the strategy and design teams to create apps, content, and experiences for leading European brands like Puma, Red Bull, Audi, and Grundig.

Today at Elephant I team up with amazing designers and strategists to lead high-quality products and experiences across the west coast offices for clients such as Apple, Beats by Dre, FX amoung others.

So far I can say that this has been my journey.

As a result of working for brave and demanding clients, and of being surrounded by excellent colleagues, I've collectively won some awards, including Cannes Lions, Effies, Awwwards and being published in Contagious Mag, Ad Age, PFSK among others. I also serve as a jury member of Awwwards and CSS Design Awards, both prestigious design associations that recognize the talent and effort of the best web designers, developers and agencies in the world.

X5 Cannes Lions

X4 Effie Awards

X3 IAB Awards

X6 Circulo Creativo

X2 Awwwards

But it hasn't always been an easy journey. Right after finished university, I “opened” a successful design studio with one of my best friends... we're still waiting for client payments, I also worked at a TV show as a production assistant helping people find the restroom and ask for autographs, and as a tour guide at a Modern Art Museum. That's why I don't take anything for granted, and I seize the day, every day.
